ATTIC BARRIER

In the summer, most of the heat entering homes and buildings comes through the roof. Adding a reflective foil like AYR-FOIL™ foil-foil or foil-Kraft paper is the ideal solution for air conditioning savings and a comfortable temperature inside. AYR-FOIL™'s attic barrier can reduce the heat gain by as much as 78%. AYR-FOIL™ radiant barriers can also improve fibrous insulation performance by 50%.
  • AYR-FOIL™ A1V or radiant barrier foil-foil / foil kraft can be used.Foil-foil or foil-Kraft are available perforated or not
  • Make sure to have proper ventilation between the rafters

INSTALLATION METHOD:

  1. Staple your AYR-FOIL™ A1V against the rafters or on the wall, aluminum side facing the exterior.
  2. Do not seal the seams and make sure to leave at least 3" space at the top and bottom as shown on the drawing, to ensure a good ventilation.
